HOW TO USE THE TOOLS
ACTIVITIES
What is it?
The Activities API creates a record of all of the actions and touch points that customers have interacted with throughout their experience.
Why use it?
This is the heart of XPKit, to create a seamless and engaging user experience. By tracking every interaction, you can analyse and reward customers based on their actions, and measure the quality and effectiveness of the experience, in real time. Make improvements to the user experience right now and for future events.
For example, how a visitor voted in a poll, the creation of a personalised video or image souvenir, clicking on a URL, collecting a souvenir or confirmation that a notification was sent.
ALERTS
What is it?
An alert can be triggered by your application using using any necessary context data.
Why use it?
With thousands of visitors engaging with an experience over several hours, days or weeks, things can get complicated!
It’s better that you know about an issue before your customer does, to ensure their experience remains seamless.
For example, if one of your apps goes down or starts to generate errors, your team is notified immediately via email, Sentry, Slack or Microsoft Teams.
CONTENT
What is it?
Create personalised content and transform it, before uploading to a destination. Brand and personalise your content using pre-defined configurations, and chain multiple configurations together. For example a chain could resize a video, change its audio track, and upload it to an Amazon S3 bucket.
Why use it?
Splice together live photos and films of your visitors at an event, with predesigned text and 2D/3D content to create unique and memorable souvenirs.
The opportunities here are endless, and the results are engaging, memorable and shareable.
Take this a step further by creating unique and authenticated souvenirs using NFT’s (Non-fungible tokens), in collaboration with an artist.
EXPORTS
What is it?
A quick and simple way to create a file containing all of the customer profile and activity data for an experience.
Why use it?
When you need quick access to your data in an industry standard format, to import into your CRM, spreadsheet or BI tool for further analysis and planning.
This can be done manually via the XPKit web portal or via an API call. You can also schedule recurring hourly, daily, weekly or monthly exports.
IDENTIFICATIONS
What is it?
To create a unique (anonymous) identifier that can be used to track each visitor’s activities.
Why use it?
To invite visitors to an event and pre-assign them with a unique identifier, such as a QR code, barcode, RFID tag or Apple Wallet pass.
NOTIFICATIONS
What is it?
Communicating information to customers prior, during and after an event.
Why use it?
To send customers messages via email or SMS when they perform particular actions, or at scheduled times.
PROFILES
What is it?
A profile database for storing all personal data in one secure and encrypted location.
Why use it?
Your customers’ data is private. XPKit ensures that it stays that way. Utilise this service in your applications, including websites, activations and backend services to ensure personal data is always stored in a single known secure location.
QUEUES
What is it?
More fun, less waiting.
Enables visitors to register their place in a queue and then get notified via their mobile a few moments before they are ready to enjoy the experience.
Hosts can keep track of visitor numbers and manage demand and traffic flow.
Why use it?
When you are at an event, you want to enjoy and interact with the experience, socialise, buy food and drink, and shop for merchandise. The last thing you want to do is stand in a queue.
Using our virtual queuing system developed and tested at major events, visitors no longer have to stand and wait in line for long periods.
Use at consumer events and pop ups to manage specific attractions, or for business events to manage one on one appointments or limited product demos. It can even be used for virtual events, so visitors do not have to sit in front of a screen waiting for things to kick off, and go for a walk or grab a coffee instead.
RESOURCES
What is it?
An extensible framework so that any additional resources that are bespoke to your experience can be created and managed in XPKit.
Why use it?
Create and manage any resource your use case requires. Products, inventory, companies etc.
SOCIAL
What is it?
Saves customers having to enter their personal details manually, by using their chosen social network to pre-populate their info, and login to register and access the experience.
Why use it?
Making it easier for customers to register simplifies and improves their experience, and augments their user profile with quality data, enabling you to personalise the experience.
SOUVENIRS
What is it?
Incentivise visitors to perform certain actions with the prospect of getting a reward, such as a photo or video as a personalised memory of the experience, that they can share with their friends.
Why use it?
Create a library of assets such as a product wish list or a personalised product catalogue, based on what the visitor has expressed an interest in during the experience, to read, buy or follow up on later.
This can be easily integrated into your existing website to enable visitors to find and download their souvenirs whenever they want, and combined with links to more information or promotions.
AUTHENTICATION
What is it?
An identity broker service that provides customers with an integrated single sign-on experience for registering and signing in to your in-person or virtual events, applications and websites.
Why use it?
Customers can sign-up to an event and access resources across a wide range of applications or touch points without having to use a different login. This can be achieved using a standard email and password, or via a social login, combined with a physical token at an event such as a a QR code or Apple Wallet Pass.
